SPA MPQC Quarry PassportThe Safety Pass Alliance, or the SPA, is the most prominent safety passport awarding body in the UK. The SPA MPQC Quarry passport is run in conjunction with MPQC (formerly known as EPIC) and counts as a Level 2 QCF qualification.
What does it cover?
The Quarry safety passport (sometimes known as the EPIC card) training course covers topics such as dust, confined spaces and hazard awareness. You can find a full syllabus when you choose a course date below.
Please note: This is NOT the Driver’s Skills card scheme. You will need to call the MPQC themselves on 0115 983 6580 if you require this.
Who needs this passport?
You may require a Quarry Safety Passport if you work on a quarry, in excavation or with mineral products in your job.

What is MP Connect and how do I get an MP Connect Card?
We are getting a lot of calls from contractors working on aggregates sites recently asking us what MP Connect is and how they can get the MP Connect card and MP Connect app.
We know that a lot of UK aggregates sites are mandating MP Connect as a site entry requirement. So we’ve put together some information here to help answer some questions.
Exemptions
Please note: the MPQC announced that from 1st January 2019, there will no longer be any exemptions for the 2 Day Course and delegates will be required to sit both days of the course if they do not currently hold an in date SPA Quarry card.
