The Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), are one of the world’s largest and most internationally recognised awarding organisations – more than 130,000 people take IOSH Training Courses every year.

GSS Training offer the following classroom and online IOSH training courses:

  • 1 Day IOSH Working Safely classroom course – £152 + VAT Please find the course syllabus here
  • 3 Day IOSH Managing Safely classroom course – £412 + VAT Please find the course syllabus here
  • NEW Online IOSH Approved Managing Safely course –£240 + VAT – This course is delivered entirely online (without a tutor) through 8 hours of videos and exercises. The course can be sat at your own pace though you should expect to take around 24 hours to complete it. You can pause at any point during the course and come back to it anytime over a 190 day period. The content covers the same syllabus as the 3 Day classroom course and on passing the course, you will receive the same certificate as those who sit the 3 Day classroom course.   • 1 Day IOSH Managing Safely Refresher classroom course – £172 + VAT – IOSH recommend renewing your certificate every three years.

What do the 3 Day IOSH Managing Safely classroom course and the online IOSH Approved Managing Safely course cover?

Whether it is completed in the classroom or online, this course is designed to equip managers and supervisors with essential health and safety skills to promote safer workplaces.

Key areas covered include hazard identification, risk assessments, incident investigations, and adherence to safety regulations. Upon completion, delegates will receive the internationally recognised IOSH Managing Safely certificate, showcasing their commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

By the end of this course, candidates will be able to:

  • Understand the importance of their role in managing health and safety in their workplace
  • Define key health and safety terms
  • Identify hazards and carry out an effective risk assessment in the workplace
  • Describe how to identify, measure and control hazards and risks
  • Understand their responsibilities in relation to health and safety at work

What does the 1 Day IOSH Working Safely course cover?

This course is a 1 Day safety awareness course that introduces the importance of working safely, defines hazards and risks, covers the identification of common workplace hazards, focuses on how to improve safety at work through behaviours and safe systems of work and explains how we can reduce our impact on the environment.

Who would find IOSH training useful?

The IOSH Working Safely course is for all workers across all industries. It is an excellent basic safety awareness course that covers risk identification and controls.

IOSH Managing Safely training is useful for anyone who manages a team across any industry. It is for anyone with supervisory or management responsibilities who needs to ensure that their staff comply with safety regulations. The course is for anyone responsible for the safety of themselves and others in the workplace.
